Colin suffered a minor setback this morning. The upper part of Colin's left lung collapsed so they had to put him on a CPAP machine as seen in this photo. The latest chest x-ray shows that it is improving so they shouldn't need to put a breathing tube back in. Colin still has a fever which reached 103 degrees today but they don't think it is a staph infection. Might be just some type of bug.

Oh...sorry about the set back...but the EXACT same thing happened to us! (Both surgeries!) Isaac's upper left lung ALWAYS collapses. Tell Colin to just sit back and enjoy the CPT! Yucky c-pap machine...Isaac didn't have the cpap...but, another machine that puffs air (forcefully) into his lungs to help puff them back up. I'm SO GLAD that he doesn't have to be put back on the vent!!! (that happened to us....and that just broke my heart!) On Isaac's last surgery...he also had a high fever that would just come and go (for 3 weeks) and they cultured EVERYTHING and never found the problem.
I hope little set backs are JUST THAT..little setbacks. You will be out of the hospital in NO TIME...so, enjoy the nurses while you can...because your parents are ready to take you HOME!
We're all still praying for you and your family!

We hope that things take a turn for the better. Please give him a kiss for us and know that you're all in our hearts and prayers. Much love from your cousins Liam and Monica.
Praying harder!! Think it's wonderful that other families are sharing their experiences...must give you strength to know that you, too, will get through this. Can't wait for the day when we see Colin chasing those little girl cousins around! :)

Oh... it's tough!!
I hate to say it, but we went thru the exact same thing....
two steps forward, one back...
